Sterling and Cheri,

I came across your group shortly after leaving the Utah Valley Commons, a cohousing project that I worked to get started for about a year and a half and have since left and moved out of Provo to the outskirts of Payson. My hats off to you and all that have worked to get your group to the point they are. Acquiring land and starting the grueling process of water rights acquisition, zoning, health dept OKs etc. Wow! I have some idea of what you have been through thus far based on my working with the Utah County people for the short time I did on behalf of our little group.

I hope to come visit some time and see in person what you have accomplished physically on the land and hopefully be able to feel what you have accomplished in developing the friendships and trust that it takes to bring this to life.

Keep up your good work and be reassured that there are others out there that support what you are doing!

Incidentally, if Susan does manage to get the county health department to allow you to try the composting toilets for permanent structures I would love to get with her to find out how to do this in Utah county. Utah county seems proud to have an allowance for gray water systems but when questioned they don't have a single one permitted in the county. I didn't have the courage to try to work through composting toilets with them.

You guys are in Utah, well that brings to mind the Mormon's "Handcarts to Zion" that happened in the 19th century. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormon_handcart_pioneers

If you're sharing my dream on a financial level, I am willing to shift gears, and COME TO YOU from Hawaii, to assemble all of these pertinent parts!

I have 25 years experience doing professional handyman services, and am well-rounded in my skills. It will take probably about $10,000 for this trailer-mounted Solar Thermal prototype, (if everything is brand-new, that is). I could build this, from start to finish, in a timely manner!

So, in a nutshell, my plan is to construct a "Prometheus/WHECyclone" design combination, and demonstrate its abilities on a portable lightweight trailer that is pulled by a Humancar.
